Yesterday I cooked a few things. I started out with this roast. I normally make roast with cream of mushroom soup, French onion soup mix, and a little Sprite but I decided to try something new. I thought this recipe turned out pretty similar even though it used less liquid.
While this was cooking I intended to make a large batch of Cannellini Bean Hummus but I discovered I had every type of bean on hand except Cannellini beans. I decided to wing it and made this recipe with a combination of black beans, pinto beans, and garbanzo beans. Other than making it darker I don’t think there was much change from the original recipe.
Finally, in the evening I made Peach-a-Berry Cobbler, a recipe I’ve been excited to try since I got blueberries on Wednesday. I bought peaches at Lipe’s Orchard just outside of Carbondale on Saturday and I was ready to put them to good use.
