Pro Compression Socks

My legs have not been happy with me lately. Due to plans to go to Cardinal games the next two nights, I had to get all three of my weekday runs into three days. I did the long run Sunday so that means I’ve run four days in a row, which I don’t think I’ve done in years. I’m used to my rest days in between.

Sunday I went online and ordered some Pro Compression socks. I’ve had my eye on these for a while but resisted purchasing because they’re $50, a lot for socks, no matter how many runners rave about them. But I found a coupon code for 40% off so I thought what the heck.

The very next morning I received an email altering me to a 50% off Pro Compression sale. Are you kidding me?? To ease the pain of missing an additional 10% off by one day, I decided if I loved the socks I’d get more.

Well, today the socks arrived (so quick!) and couldn’t have come at a better time. I popped those bad boys on right after I took my shower. Here they are in all their glory.

These are the wardrobe choices Tracy gets to enjoy me making at home.

My review: I love these. I feel like the socks are giving my aching shins a hug. I still feel some mild shin discomfort, but nowhere near what I was dealing with before. These will now be part of my post run routine (which now consists of taking a shower and putting on socks). I’m not ready to be one of those hard core runners who run with the socks on, but I’m not ruling that out either. I really love these a lot and am excited to purchase more at 50% off. 🙂

  1. Would you wear them during a run or only afterwards? Haven’t heard too much about them!

    • I might wear them for a cold run but I’m not sure. I do see a lot of runners in them at races. Definitely after runs–I really do think it is helping me reduce soreness.
